A Chicago-based marketing agency asked me to wrote music to accompany a video they had created to document an art project they’d undertaken with the Better Boys Foundation in Chicago.
There are three cues used here to underscore the arc of the story:
1. Establish environment and situation
2. Get moving/Call to action
3. Reveal and resolution
The instrumentation combines orchestral strings, synths and percussion. Since it’s heavily narrated, the music has to sit underneath and help drive the story along without distracting from the overall message.
As a result of working on the project, I became, and remain, a supporter of the BBF organization.
